My Trips

Improve Your Game

From November through April Capt. Ken is chartering shallow water fishing trips in the beautiful estuary of Tampa Bay.

Tampa Bay's pristine shallow waters offer an abundance of Flats, Seagrass Beds and Mangrove Habitats that are home to the  game-fish that Fishermen love to chase!

Ken's Fly Fishing and Light tackle trips are very personalized adventures for one or two anglers. You will fish from a technical poling skiff which is designed to get you into the most shallow areas of the bay. All of Capt. Ken's trips are highly instructional. You  will spend the entire day learning the tactics that fool game-fish on Flies and Artificial Lures.

Our main targets are Snook, Redfish and Speckled Trout but Tarpon, Cobia and Permit can be encountered at times. In addition to the gamefish mentioned there are numerous other species that readily take the fly. These include Pompano, Jack Crevale, Spanish Mackerel, Lady Fish, Sheepshead, Snapper and more...

My Fishing Area

South Tampa Bay is the area that I spend most of my time. I primarily focus on the waters from Apollo Beach southward to the Skyway Bridge and St. Pete. This area encompasses the Cockroach Bay, Terra Ceia and the Boca Ciega Aquatic Preserves. This area is blessed with natural beauty and quality habitat for game fish.

All Tampa Bay Fly Fishing Guide trips originate at boat launches or marinas within this area.

All trips include Fishing License, Fly Casting Instruction, use of Fly Rods, Spinning Tackle, Custom Flies, Lures etc.
